Plenty of desktops and a laptop, never a tablet. However, it did require a certain amount of technical knowledge to pull it all together and maintain, so it might not be for everyone. I'm quite happy with this setup and don't anticipate changing it up anytime soon. Much to the chagrin of Samsung and Apple, I expect to be able to use this tablet for at least another 5 years and there's a very good chance I will be able to use it for longer than that. If I were to use it for an entire 4-hour show, I would expect to use 8-10% of the battery. I can open an entire gig's worth of tabs in the app at once.Īll of this means the battery isn't completely worked over and still lasts quite a long time. #FIRE 7 TABLET IREAL PRO PC#I write my own tabs on a PC using the Notepad++ text editor, upload them to Dropbox, download them locally to the tablet, and use the QuickEdit text editor app (which uses very little resources) to view them on the tablet. I don't use it for anything else, and I don't recharge it unless I have to. It's rooted so I was able to shut down a ton of background apps and automatic updates, I only turn on the wifi radio when I need it, and I run it dark mode. I'm using a Galaxy Tab S 10.5 that I've owned for around 7 or 8 years. ![]()
